Hammer Down Auctions is a full-service, professionally licensed auction company located in Liberty Hill, TX just outside of Austin owned and operated by Michele Hammer. Michele has been providing outstanding auction results for her clients in the sale of antiques, collectibles, vehicles, boats and just about everything in between since 2005. HammerDown Auctions can handle all types of auctions, tag sales and liquidations and will work specifically with each client to determine and customize a solution that's right for you.
Ms. Hammer graduated Dallas Auction Academy and was licensed in Texas in 2005. She immediately opened an auction house and began serving the greater Austin area through live and online auctions. She has been a member of both the Texas Auctioneer's Association (TAA) and National Auctioneer's Association (NAA) and was selected to be featured on two episodes of HGTV's "Cash in the Attic" TV show in 2006. She is a graduate of St. Edward's University in Austin and holds a BA in Organizational Communication. In addition to being the auctioneer, Michele manages the day to day operations to include keeping the website up to date, communicating upcoming auctions to you, marketing the business, lotting and listing the auction items to build the catalog, meeting with consignors and cleaning the toilets!
Sherry Fairclough has been involved with the business since 2005 and is the chief photographer and head bid spotter. She is one of the best ringmen in the US and her zest and energy really bring a lot of fun to the auction. She goes to great lengths to provide many detailed photographs of each and every item so that online bidders are able to bid with confidence. She sets up the auction and gets the gallery ready for the auction.
Ray Hammer is the internet operator during our Live webcast auctions and manages all gun sales and license transfers. He holds current LTC and FFL licenses.
Wanda Hammer is "the organizer"! She sets up auctions and estate sales and handles the registration and check out process during our live auctions.
It takes a small army and lots of teamwork to organize and run auctions and estate sales. We have many "helpers" during live auctions and estate sales to make them run seamlessly: Nic Tanguma, Christy Tanguma, Mike Ruston, Susan Elliott, Deb Baugh, Randy Hutto and Bobby Anderson. Without their help, we couldn't do it!
